Flushing the Powerstroke Cooling System...
When one or all of these of these cooling system components becomes compromised by debris a motor meltdown is just around the corner. In the old days you may have gotten away with neglecting the operational stability of your antifreeze, BUT NOT WITH A 6.0L OR 6.4L POWERSTROKE! Pictures of a Contaminated Cooling System... Ever wonder why radiators, EGR coolers and oil coolers clog up, then fail and melt down a Powerstroke? Below are pictures from a Powerstroke that had contaminated antifreeze. This is what the inside of the cooling system looks like when the antifreeze breaks down. Once antifreeze is compromised it can no longer protect the engine against corrosion and clumps of debris clog the vital cooling pathways compromising the motor. Be smart and change your coolant often or you will be sorry... (Click on pictures for larger view)
